Do high-end servers really improve ping and reduce lag in online games?

I’ve always wondered how much the actual server hardware impacts online gaming performance. We all know ping depends a lot on distance and internet speed, but what about the server side of things.

If you’re running a high end server with a powerful CPU, lots of RAM, and fast storage, that should help reduce lag, rubberbanding, or random spikes in games. For example, it could make a noticeable difference in heavily modded servers for Minecraft, Rust, ARK, or GTA V RP where player counts are high.

Some say ping won’t really improve no matter what hardware you use, but better servers can handle stress much more smoothly. Has anyone here switched from a basic setup to a high-end one and seen real improvements? Curious to know if it’s worth the investment or mostly hype.
