Has anyone tried a deep wave weave? How does it hold up over time?

I’ve been wearing a deep wave weave for a few months now, and I can share some insights from my experience. First off, deep wave weave are great if you love that natural, voluminous curly look without committing to your natural hair pattern. The waves are soft but defined, giving a bouncy and textured style that looks fuller than straight weaves.
In terms of longevity, a lot depends on how you care for it.

Detangling is key—you want to use a wide-tooth comb or your fingers, especially when it’s wet, to keep the waves intact and prevent shedding. I also sleep with a satin bonnet to reduce friction.

Styling is flexible but best kept simple. You can refresh the waves with a little water or leave-in conditioner spray instead of heat, which can damage the texture over time. The weave holds curls well if maintained, but neglecting it can lead to frizz or tangling, especially around the nape area.

One tip I learned is to avoid heavy products that weigh the hair down or leave buildup, as that makes the waves look limp rather than defined. Overall, a deep wave weave gives a natural, effortless curly look if you treat it gently.
