How do you make Adult Ads perform consistently?

I have been testing Adult Ads for a while now, and one thing kept bothering me. Why do they perform well one week and then suddenly drop the next? I used to think it was just the traffic quality, but after running a few campaigns, I realized targeting plays a much bigger role than I expected.

At first, I went broad. I figured more reach meant more clicks and more conversions. That sounds logical, right? But what I got instead was random traffic. Some days looked great on paper, but the actual results were all over the place. Spending was steady, but performance was not. It felt like guessing instead of planning.

So I started tightening things up. I tested smaller audience segments, adjusted device targeting, and paid more attention to geo settings. I also stopped changing everything at once. Earlier, I would tweak creatives, bids, and targeting all in the same day, then wonder why I could not figure out what actually made a difference.

What helped most was focusing on patterns instead of daily numbers. I looked at which segments brought consistent engagement over time, not just quick spikes. Once I found a couple of audience groups that converted steadily, I built around them instead of chasing every new idea.

I am not saying there is a magic formula. But from my experience, consistency with Adult Ads comes from patience and clear targeting. Smaller, focused tests worked better for me than big, scattered campaigns. If you are struggling with unstable results, maybe simplify first. Sometimes performance improves when you stop trying to reach everyone and start speaking to a specific group instead.
