Is Bhoomi Poojan Really Necessary Before Construction? Need Expert Guidance

I’m new to this forum and need genuine advice from experienced people here. We are planning to start construction of our new house soon, and everyone around us is insisting on doing Bhoomi Poojan first.
Honestly speaking, I am a bit confused. Some people say bhoomi poojan is a must for peace and success, while others say it’s optional. So I thought instead of blindly following opinions, I should ask here.

Why I’m Thinking About Bhoomi Poojan
This is our first house, and obviously, we want everything to go smoothly. Before starting construction, elders in the family suggested bhumi pujan to remove negative energy from the land and take blessings.

A friend also told me that vastu for home should be checked before construction, otherwise problems may come later in life like delays, financial stress, or health issues. That made me think seriously.

Plot & Construction Details
Here are some details of our plot:
