Hi everyone,
I'm currently working on an SAP Commerce (Hybris) implementation, and I’m diving deeper into Hybris's business process framework, particularly how it handles order processing, email workflows, and custom process extensions.
From what I’ve gathered so far, Hybris uses a flexible, event-driven Business Process Engine (BPE) that allows developers to define and manage complex workflows using XML process definitions, actions, events, and transitions. The ability to customize processes like order fulfillment, customer notifications, and returns is powerful, but I’m looking to understand the best practices for better:
Best regards,

The ability to customize processes like order fulfillment, customer notifications, and returns is powerful, but I’m looking to understand the best practices for better:
- Structuring and managing custom Business processes in Hybris
- Debugging and monitoring active processes
- Avoiding common pitfalls in long-running processes
- Handling failures and process retries effectively
- How have you approached custom business process development in Hybris?
- Are there tools or strategies you’ve found helpful for testing or visualizing workflows?
- Any lessons learned or tips you'd share from real-world projects?
Best regards,
