Switching couriers didn't help – starting to think packaging is the real issue

I've been running a small business out of Ajman for about two years now selling handmade items that are a bit delicate, and for the longest time I blamed the courier companies every time something arrived damaged or delayed. I switched carriers three times thinking maybe the next one would treat my packages better, but honestly the problems haven't improved much and I'm finally starting to look at my own processes instead of pointing fingers. I've been researching practical solutions for handling products in transit and I'm realizing that a lot of what I thought was the courier's fault might actually come down to how I'm packaging things in the first place. I read about how smarter packaging design can actually protect products better during the bumps and drops that are just part of the delivery process, and it got me thinking that I've been approaching this all wrong by just adding more bubble wrap instead of thinking about the box sizes and how everything fits together. I'm planning to do a complete overhaul of my packaging approach over the next few weeks and I'm curious if anyone else has gone through this process of realizing the problem was closer to home than you thought. What changes actually made a noticeable difference for you once you started focusing on packaging instead of just blaming the delivery service?
